Akiva has a wide array of legal and business experience covering areas of personal law, business law, and estate law. He has more than three decades of business operations and development experience. In addition to his law degree, Akiva holds an MBA from Duke University and is the author of a book about Electronic Discovery in New York State and Federal litigation.
Akiva has practiced successfully in a diverse range of legal fields - helping clients handle personal and business litigation needs, protect their assets (from business and personal liability, adverse tax consequences, Medicaid spend down and claw back, and unforeseen divorces), file probate matters, litigate probate claims, negotiate leases and contracts, litigate landlord/tenant matters, prosecute lemon law claims, grieve their property taxes, and handle pre- and post-nuptial agreements and divorce matters, to name a few.
Licensed to practice law in the State of New York as an Attorney and Counselor-at- Law, Akiva is a member in good standing of the:

He also is the author of Minimizing the Cost of E-Discovery Production in New York State Litigation.
Akiva earned his:
- JD from St. John’s University School of Law;
- International Executive MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business; and
- Bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in Computer Science from Iona College.
Additionally, he is a Certified Graduate of e-Discovery Team Training with Ralph Losey, and a Certified EDT eDiscovery Network Engineer.
