With your library card, you may borrow:

• Books, magazines, compact discs, audio cassettes and video cassettes (with a parent's card)

• Books from any library in Nassau County

• Cassette players, cassette recorders, movie screens, opaque, overhead, and slide projectors, electric typewriters, word processors and video telecaption machines.

At the library, you can:

• Receive individual assistance from highly trained librarians.

• Use state-of-the-art information technology and on-line searching.

• Use Public computers, electric typewriters, fax machines and copy machines.

• Attend courses, educational and entertainment programs.

• Register with the Community Employment Service (CES) for help in finding a job and/or creating a resume.

• Use the Information & Referral Service for confidential help for problems of daily living.

• Use library databases to do research, obtain newspaper articles, book reviews, financial information, and much more.

• Use the library website as a gateway to the Internet.
