Brian Lew Selected As 2023 POB Chamber Businessperson of Year

The board of directors of the POB Chamber is proud to announce that Brian Lew, owner of The All New Sandwich Express in Plainview, has been selected as the POB Chamber’s Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce 2023 Businessperson of the Year. The prestigious award is bestowed upon a chamber member who has helped “make a significant contribution to the local economy and has made a meaningful and important contribution to the general welfare of the local community.” Brian will receive the award at NCCC’s annual awards breakfast on October 27th.

A member of the POB Chamber since 2019, Brian has been satisfying appetites at his welcoming local business while simultaneously serving as an outstanding community contributor for almost ten years.  His humble store is a familiar destination for many breakfast and lunch seekers who are often greeted by name. The deli also does a brisk catering business.

When the pandemic forced businesses to shut their doors in 2020, Brian committed to feeding the weary night shift staff at several of Northwell’s Long Island Hospitals. Hundreds of meals were delivered for 77 consecutive nights. He was recognized for his efforts by then State Senator Jim Gaughran and News 12 Long Island.

Among Brian’s other community contributions are sponsoring POB’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life and providing food for Camp Good Mourning’s annual fundraiser. He was also awarded the Founders’ Day Award by the POB PTA Council in 2022.

Brian lives in Bethpage with his wife, Karolina, and their three daughters Emily, Ava and Julianna.
