The POB Chamber of Commerce was delighted to award three scholarships to deserving students during POB JFK High School’s annual awards night this June. These students earned their awards by writing an outstanding essay on two different topics.
Matthew Fryman (pictured above with scholarship committee chair and board member Cheryl Dender) received the chamber’s $1,000 scholarship for “What Plainview-Old Bethpage Means to Me” and Daniel Lombardo and Lauren Sirianni each received a $500 award for their creative local business ideas. These two scholarships are awarded each year in memory of former board member Marcia Finkelstein.
Congratulations to these deserving college bound seniors!
