DRUG EDUCATION & AWARENESS
Hosted by: Plainview Jewish Center in partnership with The POB Interfaith Clergy Council, Mid-Island Y JCC,  Plainview-Old Bethpage School District, the Nassau County Police, and in conjunction with the Garrett Kassler Memorial Fund(the POB Chamber’s current charity partner)

The frightening facts are that every day, at least one Long Islander dies from an overdose directly caused by heroin, fentanyl, synthetic drugs, prescription painkillers such as Oxycodone or Percocet. And, 7 out of 10 of those tragic deaths occur at home.
It can happen to anyone from any community. Participants will be trained in the use of Narcan and will receive a FREE KIT to take home. Refreshments will be served.
