January 2017 President’s Message


Happy New Year to you and your families and here’s wishing that 2017 is a prosperous, healthy and successful year for all of us!

Did you make a New Year’s resolution? Here’s one that you can fulfill with the click of a mouse: Join the Chamber and renew your membership! Members can participate in two FREE innovative and interactive workshops in January. The first one, led by Janine Friedman, will be about Leadership in the workplace; . the second one, led by Donna Bloom, will be about Stress & Hypnosis. Both programs are free for 2017 members and include breakfast. The Leadership workshop will be held on January 12th and the Stress-Hypnosis workshop will be held on January 26th  and are being hosted at the Mid-Island Y JCC from 7:30 am-9 am. Don’t miss out! Don’t forget our always popular Paid-Up Membership Dinner on February 9th at Carlyle on the Green at Bethpage State Park! This promises to be a fun event with lots of laughs provided by Sherry Davey and a Fashion Show featuring men’s fashions modeled by some of our most handsome & dapper chamber members! The Chamber will be offering a complete calendar of events throughout the winter and spring, including meetings and networking events. Our first networking event of the new year will be hosted by POB Cares/Project PACE on January 12th at the Mid-Island Y starting at 6 pm. This will be a great way to kick off the New Year. Bring your colleagues, friends and guests and let’s network to the hilt. Our next General Meeting will also be on January 18th.

Membership in the Chamber is good for your business–it provides credibility to your clients and customers and fellow business owners. Membership enables you to network with other business owners and leaders, helping generate opportunities for growth and development. A strong and active Chamber enables us to market our members to our community and beyond.
