President’s Message–2017/2018

Happy New Year!

We’ve had an eventful year in 2017–ups & downs, with lots of excitement, disappointments and opportunities. For me, the end of the year is always a chance to look back and reflect, It’s also a time to look to the future, plan and hope. As we do that for 2018, let’s continue the good work we’ve been engaged in: Keeping our Chamber active and vital; building our businesses and practices; meeting new people; expanding our networks; and offering the highest quality product and service to our customers and clients. Let’s continue to travel the high road by adhering to high ethical standards of practice and business, courtesy, respect and compassion. These traits are good for us, will enrich our lives, and make our world a better place.

While traveling that high road, treat yourself! Join/Renew your Chamber Membership! There’s no better gift than the Gift of Membership which opens up our business community to you.

We’ve been described as one of the “best chambers on Long Island” and have been nominated for the honor of “Best Chamber on Long Island” through the Best of Long Island program (results of that nomination will come out in February–keep your fingers crossed!)

With your membership you’re entitled to attend for FREE, workshops in January on the topics of Sexual Harassment and Discrimination in the Work Place (January 8th) and Cyber Security (January 22nd). Breakfast is included! We’re having our always-fun Paid Up Membership Dinner on February 8th at Carlyle on the Green (Bethpage Golf Course, Free for Members), which delivers on entertainment, networking and dining. We’re also debuting our own Women’s Group–Professional Order of Businesswomen (POB), which is having its inaugral meeting on January 18th. Don’t miss out on these events. Renew/Join the Chamber and reap the rewards of membership. CLICK HERE TO JOIN/RENEW. Remember, you gotta be in it, to win it. Join the Chamber and you’ll be an instant winner!

I want to extend my deep appreciation and thanks to all of our members, board members and friends, all of whom have worked hard this past year to make our Chamber a success and the organization it has become. As local business people and members of the POB community, we have much to be proud of and thankful for. Let’s not forget SNAP , the charity we’re supporting this year. It’s a great source of pride to promote SNAP and the important work they’re doing in our community for students with special needs. Our members have been great in supporting SNAP and we look forward to the coming year for even better things!

On behalf of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, we’d like to wish you and your families a very Happy Holiday Season, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

See you all next year!

Best Wishes,

Elan Wurtzel, President
