I hope everyone is enjoying their summer with family and friends. It was great seeing so many of you at the chamber’s annual BBQ meeting this past June. Since then we have welcomed several new members and there have been a bunch of fun ribbon cutting ceremonies too. If you know someone who’s interested in joining the chamber, share this summer special membership link with them. It’s a good deal!
Charity Partner and Scholarships – We wrapped up our official partnership with The Sophia Valsamos Foundation in June (over $4,000 was raised) and we are now are reviewing applications for the next charity with awareness and fundraising efforts running from Sept to June. If you know a local charity that would benefit from our limited support, please share the application with them. Also in June, the chamber awarded three of our high school seniors scholarships as they looked ahead to college.
Ribbon Cuttings! One of the most fun and exciting things that the chamber does for small businesses, we’ve had one at Mad For Chicken and SRG Residential, and this week one is happening at Nice Day Chinese. Please try to support these events and these new members whenever possible.
Fall Kick-Off – Be sure to join us on September 20th for our “fall kick-off” meeting at the Mid-Island Y JCC. It’s always a well attended one as we all ramp up after the summer slowdown.
