With an impressive professional background from producing and editing promos at CBS News, creating content for Cablevisions’ Powertolearn to senior development positions at multiple nonprofits including UJA-Fed NY, Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) and Parker, Shoshana Ellihou Cellers brings a wide range of experiences, skills and connections to her marketing business, Sassy Gal Media. She has an M.A. in Communications from NYIT and a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her creative and marketing background, coupled with her distinction in sales, community development, building strategic partnerships and content creation has resulted in major gift achievements including solicitations of six and seven figure gifts: Including a planned gift of three million dollars to be divided equally between UJA, SYJCC and Gurwin.
Shoshana has been involved with the Plainview and Long Island Community for most of her life including attending camp at the Mid-Island Y JCC, teaching art classes to their students and, along with her husband Gary, organizing and collecting food for The Rudman Family Food Pantry by engaging the Great Neck Community that they currently are a part of.
Additional talents and passions include acting, public speaking and painting as a commissioned artist. Her time is devoted to her loving husband Gary, her parents Linda and Joseph, siblings Julie and Jonathan and nieces Mallory and Alexa.
Shoshana has been a member of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce since 2022 and has contributed by being the Co-Chair of the Digital Communications Committee. She created and donated the SpringFest Promotional Video in both 2022 and 2023 and has created, donated, and posted content for many of the chamber events throughout the year. Her overall goal in joining the board of directors is to utilize her skills and experience to help the POBCOC accomplish its mission of supporting the community regarding business development, outreach and growth.
