On Monday evening June 5th members of the POB Chamber women’s group met to network over a drink and some appetizers at Plainview’s Main Event. After member intro’s, there was a productive discussion of potential topics for future meetings. New board member Shoshana Ellihou Cellers of Sassy Gal Media was interested in hearing about how to become an official women owned business and what the advantages may be. Utilizing her extensive resources, Shayla Superior from Plainview Hospital suggested exploring another health related topic in the coming months (The group has hosted two respected breast surgeons in the past.) And women’s group committee member Janine Friedman of Choice Training & Coaching Solutions offered to develop a program either targeted to women in business or all chamber members for an inclusive session this coming fall or winter.
